ACE appointment

I scheduled my ACE appointment for thursday from 7:00 to 8:00. It really didn't last that long. I went for math because I'm doing poorly on my tests in precal and it's very discouraging. I don't know if I'm forgetting the material because I don't pay enough attention in class or if I'm just not studying correctly. All we have in that class is tests and I need to do well. So there were some other people there when I went for my appointment. When it got to be my turn, the ACE coach/instructor/tutor guy helped me with the extra credit opportunity we finally got in math. It was only two questions and it didn't take very long at all. After that I basically just asked for some study advice. He told me that practice was really the only way to learn math. He encouraged me to look up extra problems to work on, focus on concepts I'm having trouble with until I'm comfortable with them. I think that will really help a lot. And I'm glad he helped me with my extra credit because now I know it's correct and I'll get the bonus points I need. I think I'm going to do the drop in hours again during the week.
